StepAL.org is Alabama’s first research initiative dedicated to documenting the experiences of stepparents through confidential reporting and standardized data collection. Our mission is to identify patterns, support meaningful research, and provide objective information to support future research, education, and policy discussions surrounding Alabama’s blended families.
Why StepAL.org Exists
Although many blended families are healthy and successful, some stepparents experience ongoing patterns of high-conflict behavior, interference, and harmful conduct that are not well documented.
Without reliable data, the scope and impact of these experiences remain largely unknown.
StepAL.org exists to change that by collecting consistent, confidential reports that help identify patterns and better understand these experiences across Alabama.
